SCAPC Young Adults & Families (YAF)
PINTS (Presbyterians Imbibing in Necessary Theological Study)
Every Wednesday, 6:45- 8 PM
1535 State St. (Land Building)
PINTS is currently on hold for the month of January as New Orleans is in a modified Phase 1. Once we are able to safely return to meeting in person again, we will no longer be reading a book. We will instead discuss relevant topics/questions we have about our faith together. Our conversations will be driven by podcasts, sermons, songs—you name it! If you have topics or questions you’d like to discuss in the coming weeks, please email email@example.com.
PINTS reminders and last minute tidbits of information will be posted each Wednesday morning on our Facebook page. https://www.facebook.com/groups/SCAPC2030
Because PINTS has been cancelled for the remainder of January, I encourage everyone to participate in SCAPC’s Walk By Wednesdays.
Each Wednesday, SCAPC will have a different display out in front of the church between 8 AM and 7 PM that will have a way for you to pray, connect, learn, or grow in your faith. Tomorrow (January 13th) will feature a prayer wall where you can write down a prayer and attach it to the display so we can raise our prayers together. So walk or drive by the St. Charles entrance each week to check it out! Bria will be there each week from 5:30-6:30 PM with hot chocolate and hand warmers.
Spring 2021 (Hopeful) Events
February: Mardi Gras Party
March: Outdoor Movie Night
April: Crawfish Boil
May: Family Field Day
Our Young Adults and Families (YAF) group is a community of people in their 20’s and 30’s (or thereabouts) who are single, married, with or without kids, gay or straight, black, white, or any derivation thereof! Our goal is to provide a place of connection for people of similar age and an entry point for young adults into the life of SCAPC. We offer a welcoming experience for seekers, questioners, the convinced and the not-quite-sure; as well as opportunities for serving others, for engaging in thoughtful exploration of discipleship, and a space to encounter the intersection of faith and life.
If you would like to get involved in any of our upcoming activities, please join us! See our events calendar below. Join our Facebook group for more information: www.facebook.com/groups/SCAPC2030. If you want to get in touch or have any questions about the YAF group, contact Bria Rault, Youth and Young Adults Coordinator, at firstname.lastname@example.org.
