GATHERING

WELCOME AND ANNOUNCEMENTS

VOLUNTARY

CALL TO WORSHIP
God who spun the stars into being, created the universe, and is the source of every good,
Gather us here.
God who became flesh in Jesus Christ, Savior of all humanity, and lover of the least, the last, and the lost,
Meet us here.
God, Holy Spirt, Lord and giver of life,
Renew us here.
Thankful for the ties that bind and the community formed and forming here, let us worship the triune God.

PRAYER OF THE DAY
Give us grateful hearts, O God, for worship and for a reality here larger than the one that occupies us most of the time. May we hear your voice in the silence, in the prayers, in the praises, and in the Word proclaimed. And through your Spirit, may you form a community deep and wide, that seeks to reflect the love of Jesus Christ in the living of our days in our homes and neighborhoods, schools and playgrounds, fields and streets, relationships and conversations. May our worship make us compassionate of heart, clear in our speech, gracious in awareness, courageous in our thought, and generous with our love; through Jesus Christ our Lord
Amen.

HYMN 385: “All People That on Earth Do Dwell”
All people that on earth do dwell, sing to the Lord with cheerful voice;
him serve with mirth, his praise forth tell. Come ye before him and rejoice.

Know that the Lord is God indeed; without our aid he did us make;
we are his folk; he doth us feed, and for his sheep he doth us take.

O enter then his gates with praise; approach with joy his courts unto;
praise, laud, and bless his name always, for it is seemly so to do.

For why? The Lord our God is good; his mercy is forever sure;
his truth at all times firmly stood, and shall from age to age endure.
