Global Ministries Team

The Global Ministries Team is dedicated to the mission and work of Christians around the globe. It promotes the international and domestic mission of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) and other organizations who join us in following and proclaiming Christ by word and deed. This team is responsible for the education of the congregation about the needs around the world, the recognition of supported missionaries and their work, and the connection of New Orleanians with SCAPC’s partners in overseas missions. The Team also supports and facilitates the planning of youth and adult mission trips during the year, and is in charge of congregation-wide support for Presbyterian Disaster Assistance in the United States and around the world.

Our Work in Cuba

For more than 20 years, SCAPC and the Presbytery of South Louisiana have been providing many benevolent services to several Presbyterian Churches in Cuba, including the El Centro Presbyterian Reformed Church in Matanzas and the Juan G. Hall Presbyterian Church in Cardenas.  Most recently, teams from SCAPC worked with Living Waters of the World to provide and install a clean water purification system for the Juan G. Hall church.  Our mission activities with these partner churches in Cuba have been particularly meaningful to those who have been able to go on the mission trips because of the visibly astounding positive results that have been achieved through these efforts.
