College Students: Welcome to Worship!

At St. Charles Avenue Presbyterian Church, we seek to support and enrich your college experience by providing opportunities for you to worship, fellowship, and serve together. We are located on the corner of State St. and St. Charles Ave, just a few blocks from Tulane and Loyola Campuses, and always make a point to receive our local university students with warmth and hospitality.

Presbyterian Campus Ministry

Zoë Garry, an ordained minister in the PCUSA is the campus minister and director of this ministry, and SCAPC works with Zoë to connect college members and visitors to NOLA Wesley. Through this ministry, we work with NOLA Wesley to connect Tulane and Loyola students with Sunday morning worship at SCAPC, SCAPC volunteer activities, and SCAPC Young Adults and Families (YAF) activities and events. Young Adults & Families Group

Our YAF (Young Adults & Families) group is open to all college students and offers a wide array of opportunities for theological study and relationship building in our community. Contact Tyler Wheeler (tyler@scapc.org) if you are interested in connecting with our other young adults in their 20s and 30s, and feel free to explore our YAF page yourself for more info.

SCAPC Youth Alumni

SCAPC’s Youth Program works to maintain the relationships formed in youth group when our youth graduate from high school and begin their next steps. At least three events for SCAPC Youth Alumni students are offered yearly – one in spring over Zoom (to accommodate those in school or not in town), one in the fall over Zoom, (to accommodate those in school or not in town), and one in-person either during the summer or over the Christmas holidays. We also welcome their participation in our big Christmas Eve service!
