KENYAMAMA MAJI'S KANJIRA WATER PROJECT The Mama Maji Social Enterprise envisions a network of women connecting through the biggest barrier to women worldwide: water. Through the program, women receive support in market research and in securing contracts to build water tanks or provide other WaSH solutions in their community, as well as training to become Water and Health Educators. DOMINICAN REPUBLICIGLESIA EVANGELICA CHURCH IED was founded in 1922 as an ecumenical project by three denominations: the Methodist Episcopal Church, the United Brethren, and the Presbyterian Church. The IED has a passion for evangelism, starting new churches, and Christian education. They are also active in medical outreach and clean water projects. Much of their medical outreach has included care for the Haitian community in the Dominican Republic, and they assist in medical, documentation, and new mothers. MALAWIMULIKO LITERACY PROJECT Muliko seeks to improve the 47 percent literacy rate of the predominantly Muslim community of Mangochi by training volunteer teachers who want to start individual literacy programs. Muliko also tutors children after school, conducts child evangelism through an after-school Good News Club and operates a preschool that generates income. US/MEXICO BORDERBACKPACKS FOR THE BORDER During our Fall Day of Service we packed 100 backpacks full of essential supplies like toiletries and non-perishable foods to help newly arrived migrants at the U.S. border. Backpacks are donated to our partner, Puentes de Cristo.PUENTES DE CRISTO Puentes de Cristo is a health and wellness community outreach program which serves the Hispanic and immigrant communities in and around the Hidalgo, Texas area. Puentes de Cristo is part of the Presbyterian Borderlands Ministries, a binational organization that partners with the PC(USA) and the Iglesia Nacional Presbiteriana de Mexico by participating in God’s mission along the U.S./Mexico border.
