LIGHT OF THE WORLD: A BEGINNER'S GUIDE TO ADVENT
Sundays, November 28-December 19 | Land Building Lakeside Room and Zoom
Amy-Jill Levine explores the biblical texts surrounding the story of the birth of Jesus. She traces the Christmas narrative through the stories of Zechariah and Elizabeth, Mary, the journey to Bethlehem, and the visit from the Magi.
10:30 morning worship will center on the music of the SCAPC Chancel Choir Chamber Ensemble and Orchestra! The program will include arrangements of traditional carols by John Rutter, David Willcocks, Mack Wilberg, Gerald Finzi, and others, as well as orchestral voluntaries and congregational carols.

Homily by Chris Currie
For the final youth group of the year, SCAPC will be holding its Youth Christmas Party and Gift Exchange from 5-7 p.m. at the church. Youth who would like to participate should each bring a wrapped present containing something they have either made or bought (limit $15), and we will do a Secret Santa style swap and celebration. In addition, that evening we will be assembling holiday packages for SCAPC college students to be mailed to them as a reminder that they are loved and remembered by our church.
