Pathways of luminaries will be lit in front of the church on the nights of December 18-26. Each luminary can be purchased in honor or memory of a family member, friend, or even pet. Please note that each luminary represents only one individual or couple. Acknowledgements for each memorial and honorarium will be included in the bulletins on December 19 and Christmas Eve, as well as Quatrefoil. The cost is $15 per luminary. You can EITHER order by credit card online by clicking here OR by check or cash enclosed in the luminary envelopes in the Sanctuary. Luminaries cannot be reserved without payment. The deadline is Sunday, December 12.

During Advent, we will be collecting food for the Broadmoor Food Pantry. Each week we will highlight a different food item relating to that week’s Advent candle. You can bring non-perishable items to the collection bins inside the Chapel doors during the week or Sunday mornings in Fellowship Hall.

Week 1, HOPE: Canned meat/fish
Week 2, LOVE: Soup
Week 3, JOY: Peanut Butter
Week 4, PEACE: Mac and Cheese
Christmas Eve: Baby Food

The McMillan Society's Christmas Gathering will begin with caroling, wine and hors d’oeuvres from 5:30-7:00 p.m. at the home of Michelle and Anderson Baker. Afterwards, guests are invited to dine in small groups at a number of local restaurants. Reservations are required by December 2. Unvaccinated people are asked to wear masks in consideration of others. Please remember that proof of vaccination or negative Covid-test will be required at dinner. The White Gift tree is standing in Fellowship Hall and a host of ornaments have been hung, each with gift requests for families in need. Choose an ornament or sign up online by clicking here. Monetary donations are welcome as well. We will dedicate the gifts on Sunday, December 12 during 10:30 a.m. worship.

Celebrate the Advent season with YAF and join us for our annual Christmas Brunch & Gift Exchange!
We will gather at the Land Building immediately following worship to share a meal and exchange gifts. All food and drinks will be provided, but bring a gift if you’d like to participate in the gift exchange. Both serious and silly gifts are encouraged. Please RSVP to by Thursday, December 9th if you plan on attending. Unvaccinated people are asked to wear masks in consideration of others.

The Presbyterian Women's Annual Christmas Program will begin with worship and music at 6:00 p.m. in the Chapel, followed by a reception at the home of Betsy Nalty. Please email to make a reservation by December 7. Unvaccinated people are asked to wear masks in consideration of others. We ask that guests be either vaccinated or verified covid-free within 48 hours of the event.

10:30 morning worship will center on the music of the SCAPC Chancel Choir Chamber Ensemble and Orchestra! The program will include arrangements of traditional carols by John Rutter, David Willcocks, Mack Wilberg, Gerald Finzi, and others, as well as orchestral voluntaries and congregational carols. We request that all in attendance wear festive face masks!

For the final youth group of the year, SCAPC will be holding its Youth Christmas Party and Gift Exchange from 5-7 p.m. at the church. Youth who would like to participate should each bring a wrapped present containing something they have either made or bought (limit $15), and we will do a Secret Santa style swap and celebration. In addition, that evening we will be assembling holiday packages for SCAPC college students to be mailed to them as a reminder that they are loved and remembered by our church.
