"DREAMS AND VISIONS" ADVENT ART COLLAGE WORKSHOP
SATURDAY, OCTOBER 24
Join Harriet Riley and Caitlin Wallace-Rowland for this creative and spiritual art collage workshop to create art centered around our upcoming Advent theme of “Visions, Dreams, Prophecies, & Exultations.” We will reflect on scripture, learn collage basics, and spend time in peaceful art making and fellowship together. Finished pieces will be highlighted in this year’s Advent Devotional Books. All supplies provided, no prior experience necessary, all ages welcome (children must have a supervising adult to help them make their work). The workshop will be Saturday, October 24 at 2 p.m. in the Land Building.
Want to participate in the Advent Art but can't make it to the workshop?
Email Caitlin (click here), and she'll make you a to-go kit of supplies to work on at home. Bring your finished piece into the office to be scanned or email Caitlin back a high-quality photo or scan of the finished piece. Let's connect all our art together wherever it is made through consistent color and materials to show the thread that binds us all together as a community of faith and fellowship.
ADVENT DEVOTIONALS
Interested in writing? We are looking for volunteers to write devotions of about 300 words for our 2026 Advent Devotional. Children of all ages are encouraged to sign up as well! The 2026 Adent theme is “Visions, Dreams, Prophecies, & Exaltations.” Questions? Click here to email Katie Brendler.

Each youth who plans on attending is asked to bring a wrapped gift that is either handmade or bought ($10 limit). Parents, we encourage you to let your kids find or make the gift in order to encourage initiative and generosity. (We will prepare extras so don’t let not having a gift be a reason not to join us). After our gift exchange, we will move on to our TALENT SHOW! All kinds of talent from music to magic to skits are welcome. Those who sign up (click here to email Chris) will be asked to come to one quick run-through on Saturday. LONGEST NIGHT: A SERVICE OF WHOLENESS AND HEALING
SUNDAY, DECEMBER 20
As a part of our worship shorts series, this service will be a time to worship, on the longest night of the year, with those for whom this season may be a time of loss or sadness. We will begin our worship at 6 p.m. in the chapel, then gather in the columbarium to name our struggles. We will support each other in times of darkness, even as we acknowledge that the light shines in the darkness, in this season and all seasons.
