The Christian life is meant to be shared – lived in communion with God and in fellowship with one another. This cannot be done alone but is accomplished by the giving of oneself to their neighbor in joy and thanksgiving. St. Charles Avenue Presbyterian Church is an active and diverse community with many ways to connect.
For as in one body we have many members, and not all the members have the same function, so we, who are many, are one body in Christ, and individually we are members one of another. We have gifts that differ according to the grace given to us: prophecy, in proportion to faith; ministry, in ministering; the teacher, in teaching; the exhorter, in exhortation; the giver, in generosity; the leader, in diligence; the compassionate, in cheerfulness. Romans 12:4-8

Young Adults & Families Ministry (formerly 20/30s)
The Young Adults & Families Ministry at SCAPC is a community of people in their 20s and 30s (or thereabouts) who are single, married, with or without kids, gay or straight, black, white, or any derivation thereof! Our goal is to provide a place of connection for people of similar age and an entry point for young adults into the life of SCAPC. We offer a welcoming experience for seekers, questioners, the convinced and the not-quite-sure; as well as opportunities for serving others; engaging, thoughtful exploration of discipleship and a space to encounter the intersection of faith and life.
Check out our Young Adults & FamiliesYoung Adults & Families Facebook group to keep up-to-date on events, postings, and photos from recent activities! (www.facebook.com/groups/SCAPC2030)
If you would like to get involved in any of our upcoming activities, or have any questions about the 20/30 group, contact Bria Rault, Youth and Young Adults Coordinator, (firstname.lastname@example.org).
Calling all who have graduated from the 20/30’s group and are looking for a place to get involved at SCAPC. Welcome to 40/50s – Fellowship to Go. Kids are getting older or have flown the coop and it’s time to start reconnecting with others while meeting new friends. This group combines all that SCAPC and New Orleans have to offer. Through social and cultural events we enjoy each other’s company and work towards helping others through service. For more information on any event contact Michele Murphy, (email@example.com) or (504) 897-0101 ext. 116.
The Senior Adults ministry of SCAPC is a great way for our wisest members to get involved in the life of the church! We offer occasional get-togethers, brunches, outings and field trips to explore New Orleans. Contact Don Frampton (firstname.lastname@example.org) for more information.
Small Groups at SCAPC
In a large faith community like SCAPC, none of us knows everyone, and our many (and ever-changing) Small Groups are an especially important place for us to experience a sense of belonging and grow spiritually. You are invited to experience God more fully by joining any one of these groups at any time. Contact the person listed by each group for more information – or just show up at the next publicized meeting! Help us get to know you better, and join the spiritual journey we are all on together!
