Supper Clubs
SCAPC Supper Clubs have been an enormously successful way for SCAPC members and visitors to get to know one another better. Each "club," composed of 8-10 people, will meet a minimum of three times during the Fall 2012, at group members' homes. Whether your group does potluck or picnic, buffet or barbeque... this is a great way to get to know each other beyond a simple "hello" on Sunday morning. More than 100 people joined in the fun this Spring - don't miss out for the Fall!
FAQ's
What if I don’t have enough time in my schedule?
You’ve got to eat, don’t you? And each group will meet just three times during the fall. It’s a great way to meet people – especially if you are “too busy” to get to know anyone new!
Who can participate?
Couples, singles, 20-somethings…all adults are invited to join in the fun!
What if I can’t put together a whole meal for a group?
Actually, each Supper Club member brings a dish for a potluck dish to each gathering to keep things simple for the host! Meals can be as easy as a picnic gathering in the park, burgers on the grill, a crawfish boil, or an ethnic-theme food night.
What if I can only meet on certain nights?
Have no fear! When you sign up, you will be asked to indicate your preferred meeting nights, and groups will be arranged according to the night people are able to meet.
What if my home isn’t large enough to host a Supper Club?
Don’t let this hold you back….past Supper Clubs have met in lots of places – from a studio apartment to a 16-room three story mansion, and everything in between. Also, consider “hosting” a picnic or barbeque. Whether your guests are seated at a dining room table, on stools at a counter, or on the floor, it’s the fellowship that matters.
