Adult Sunday School Classes

All Sunday School Classes start Sunday, September 11th, at 9:30 a.m. And, if you have to miss a Sunday, don't worry - all classes are designed to welcome visitors at any time throughout the fall!

The Future of Faith: There is an essential change taking place in what it means to be “religious” today.  As people of faith shift their focus to ethical guidelines and spiritual disciplines – not doctrine – we are seeing a universal trend away from hierarchical, institutional religion and toward subjectivity, the primacy of community, and the spiritual.  What does this mean for the church; what does this mean for us?  Join Don Frampton for “The Future of Faith,” a course based on Harvey Cox’s book of the same title.
Sundays through April 1| 9:30 – 10:15 a.m. | 2nd floor Learning Center.

Seven Days to Glory: Holy Week -
The days preceding the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ are among the most important in the New Testament.  This study focuses on the days of Holy Week from Monday through Sunday, the day of resurrection.  We will walk through Jesus’ experiences as well as reflect on what these mean to us as Christians today.
Sundays, Feb. 26 – March 25 2nd floor land building

Upcoming Classes

LOVING YOUR NEIGHBOR IS…dangerous?  That’s the premise of the Rev. Dr. Mark Labberton, professor and chair of Preaching at Fuller Theological Seminary, in his latest book The Dangerous Act of Loving Your Neighbor:  Seeing Others Through the Eyes of Jesus.  Labberton, a senior fellow for International Justice Mission and formerly Senior Pastor at FPC of Berkeley is our Selley Speaker for this year!  In preparation for his visit on Sunday, April 22 (mark your calendars!), a class on the highlights of his latest book (A Christianity Today Award Winner 2011) will be offered on the three previous Sundays: April 1, 8 and 15.  Join Kelly Hostetler and Bob Smith for an exciting and educational hour on Sunday mornings and find out why it’s dangerous to follow this most important command of our Lord.
Sundays, April 1 - 15| 2nd Floor Learning Center

Selley Series Rev. Dr. Mark Labberton will preach and lead a Sunday School class in the sanctuary
