THE FIVE LANGUAGES OF LOVE by Gary Chapman - September 16 - October 7
Land Building, left parlor
Learn how to speak each of the five love languages with your children - and fill their love tanks! This class is for parents of all ages to help with discerning how best to give your children the love and attention that they need. Learning to speak a child’s love language communicates your love in ways they'll understand right from the start. Unconditional love is something all children can grasp. And The Five Love Languages of Children can help you make your child feel secure, loved and more willing and open to interact with you and your family.
MERE CHRISTIANITY by C. S. Lewis - Presented by Stuart Peck
September 16 - October 7 - Land Building, right parlor
"All that we call human history--money, poverty, ambition, war, prostitution, classes, empires, slavery--[is] the long terrible story of man trying to find something other than God which will make him happy."
Join us in a study of Lewis’ classic book, which is divided into four major sections. The first, "Right and Wrong as a Clue to the Meaning of the Universe", presents a version of the moral argument for the existence of God. The second section, "What Christians Believe", explains the basics of Christian theology. The third, "Christian Behavior", is a series of essays on various aspects of Christian life. And the final section, "Beyond Personality", delves into the doctrines of the atonement and the Trinity.
